The Cool as Hell Theatre Show (CASH) is a roller-coaster ride of candid interviews, exuberant humor, theatre news and reviews – featuring established greats and emerging artists of regional and national interest.
Host Michael Rice is a professionally trained actor and director with a unique and compelling interview style. Rice created the show to help the Bay Area theatre scene promote itself to a younger audience, and has since produced more than 100 exciting episodes.
Cool As Hell Guests have included:
• Naomi Wallace – 1999 recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, the grant popularly known as the “genius award”
• Paula Vogel – Pulitzer Prize winning playwright
• Brian Copeland – author of “Not a Genuine Black Man,” the longest running one-man show in SF History
