BIO’S
Michael Rice is a trained actor and director. He’s the Creator and Producer of “The Cool As Hell Theatre Show,” and his one-man show “SoulStar” has been performed in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
A professional presentation coach for college and high school students, Rice’s work with the McClymonds High School mock trial team resulted in it becoming the first inner-city high school in the Bay Area to reach the semifinal round. Rice is also a consultant to business professionals and motivational speakers helping them to improve their presentation skills.
Rice produces podcasts for David Perry and Associates (ICT, Magic Theatre, and Public Relations symposiums) and is the official podcasting consultant for Theatre Bay Area, one of the largest performing arts organizations in the nation. He’s also a frequent guest on Theatre Bay Area’s technology panel.
He holds a B.A. from CSU Northridge, an M.F.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Theatre Performance, and is fluent in American Sign Language.
Stacy Bond :: Consulting Producer
Stacy Bond has been making sound-rich, engaging radio for close to twenty years — most recently as Producer of The California Report, a statewide radio news-magazine heard by 750,000 listeners weekly. At National Public Radio in Washington, DC, she was part of the “Talk of the Nation w/ Neal Conan” team that produced NPR’s Peabody Award-winning news coverage of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Stacy is currently establishing a “podcast incubator” program for AudioLuxe, in partnership with KQED Interactive. She is also a contributing writer the KQED’s Arts and Culture Online.
Dana Laman receives credit for the Cool As Hell site design. She is also a producer and audio engineer.
