Podcast #152

Noah Kelly of Ripe Theatre, presents The Necessity of Hank. RIPE THEATRE is in residence at THE EXIT. Noah co-wrote this play: THE NECESSITY OF HANK, with his mother, Val Kelly. Unfortunately his mother was unable to attned the interview because she lives all the way out in BFE (for those who don’t know that means, she live in Bum F#@$ Egypt, or in this case, Trukee, CA). Noah is a reserved cat, and I had to bust his ass to get him to really open up about writing this play. You see, it’s another one of those, lets get really personal, type of plays. So naturally, if you come on the Cool As Hell Theatre Podcast, you gonna have to deal with some of that stuff. THE NECESSITY OF HANK, is a personal exploration of a mother-son relationship during a divorce. And there some weird filth-flarn-filth about experience pain in the dentist office (where the play is set). Noah also talks about how teeth are magical. Just plain weird if you ask me.
